A number of documents, newspaper clippings and price schedules are included in the meeting records. The record covers the insitution of the Dairy Factory, manufacture and export of dairy products, as well as Dirctors' reports, meeting notes and cover the years 1922 - 1932.

Materials Specific Details

A green cover with brown suede bindings.

Inside front cover: Bank of New South Wales letter re the account and a small blue booklet, "Memorandum of Association" and "Articles of Association" for Woodlands Dairy Factory Co. Ltd.

Overleaf: Directors Annual Report 1922. It also gives full financial statement and a list of shareholders, as at 30/6/1922. Two pages appear to have been glued together.

Back cover: Article on Whey Developments plus related newspaper clippings. Then, overleaf, a damaged notice from the Valuation Office dated 30 April 1931. Also some pencilled notations or retiring Directors for years 1921 - 1931.

Another attachment concerns the settlement of a dispute between Southland and Otago Cheese and Butter Factories' Assistants (Union) and the .....Asscoiated Factory Comapanies (Employers), which was settled under ICA Act 1908. Plus a two-part Schedule of Wages and holidays.

24 August 1922: Minutes commence with AGM of Shareholders, which was held in the Woodlands Hall. Monthly meetings were held in the factory. Special meetings follow in Actober, held to consider 'offers' for Oct/Nov Cheese. Meetings contain 'Grade Notes' relating to Cheese for Nov-June.

July 1923: Meeting to discuss installation of telephone in Company Office and of electric light in the Factory manager's house. Pp.41, 42:Newspaper clippings reporting A=1923 AGM. Also copy of Annual Report and Statement of Accounts.

8 Nov 1926: from this point Grade Notes contain comments like "First Grade. Finest' relating to quality of cheeses sold.

1928: Waxing of chees to reduce shrinkage.

1929: Newspaper report of '24th' AGM.

1931: AGM records 'lowest cheese prices ever known".

1931: Records now become typed.

11/1/9132: Arbitration Award. Director opposition under 'present conditions'.

Records cease with Dirctors' meeting 28/7/1932.
