Dear Dorothy & all at home, I received a letter from you yesterday, written on the 31st May, and was pleased to hear from you again. As you will see there has been a bit of a mix-up in our mail, as we have got letters from you written in June & July before we got this one. I wrote home to you two days ago so this will be a short letter. Well here is some good news, about an hour after I had sent away the letter I wrote to you two days ago, I was sitting by my Ambulance and who should come along but good old Barney. He did not see me at first but he said he picked the bus by Lenore’s name on it and was pretty sure it would be mine h is fit and well and has lost a bit of weight.
