Dear Dorothy, Your letter written on 1st August, has just arrived and I am pleased to hear from you again. So you are still hard at the nursing, good work and keep it up old dear. This morning I spoke over the air, so you should hear my message early in the New Year. I was quite excited when my mates told me last night that I had drawn a time. Yes Dot I certainly remember the football week-ends we had with the Reid boys. I was talking to their cousin, Colin, who is in the Navy, only this morning. Give My regards to Kath and Alex whenever you write to them. I have not seen Jock, Barney or Albert for some time now, but I suppose I will get a note from them one of these days soon. Give Dr Crawford my regards next time you see him. Mum said in her letter that you are putting on a bit of fat, since you had your tonsils out. Well Dot I must close now as space is limited. So will say cheerio for now. Lots of love xxxx and best wishes for Christmas & New Year. Your loving brother. ERIC.
