DEAR DOROTHY, This morning I received two cables from you and yesterday three of your letters arrived. Many thanks old dear, I was very pleased to hear from you again. I will write a letter in reply to yours in a few day’s time. My mail is gradually catching up with me and soon I should have the lot. It goes to my unit and then chases me right back to hospital, however I will be leaving here any day now and will be making my way back to the unit. Last night I got the loan of a big piano accordion from one of the staff and have been giving some of the patients a spot of music. I can still play one. I left mine up at the unit. I had some letters from Maisie and Mum also yesterday, so am having quite a busy time writing. I am pleased to hear that the parcel and photos arrived home safely. Don’t forget to let me know if you managed to get over to Stewart Island for your holidays. Well Dot old dear I must close now, so will say cheerio until next letter. Lots of love. Your loving brother ERIC. xxxx
