DEAR DOROTHY , I received your welcome letter of 6th March this afternoon along with two from Mum, two from Maisie and also one from Alex and Kath. In the next day or so I will answer your letter more fully by writing a letter. I have been away in a three day trip and have just more of less got settled down, this afternoon we took our trucks into the river and washed the dust off them as well as ourselves. It is a bit of alright having the river so handy and I have already had three swims in it, and will be having a lot more. I had a letter from Cicely Wills also today, and two from Aunty May all told I got twelve letters so you can imagine how busy the old pen will be for the next few days. I have not seen Rupert since leaving hospital and have not seen Barney, Russell or Jock for just over two weeks, we have been over a lot of country this last week. Well Dot old dear I will sign off now. Cheerio until my next letter. Lots of love xxxx Your loving brother. ERIC xxx
