Dear Dorothy, Just half an hour ago I received the chocolate parcel you so kindly sent, many thanks old dear. I also got a cake and a tin of biscuits from home, so will have to write and thank them also. I have been trying to get time to write you a letter, but cannot manage to do so at present as I am very busy driving. However as soon as I get a break I will do so. Things are certainly moving over this way now and I am hoping it will not be long until I am back home with you all. I had a letter from Jock today, the first for some time, he is patiently waiting for the day he leaves for home. When you see him, he will be able to give you lots of news from over here. Just now I cannot tell you about the different places I have seen, so will have to leave it until later on. I have seen Cassino and what a mess, will tell you more in my letter. Cheerio old dear & thanks again Love xxxx. Your loving brother ERICxx
