Dear Dorothy, I have just received another letter from you, dated 2nd May and also two more from Mum, so am answering them by airgraph before going to bed. In a day or so I will write you a letter as soon as I can get five minutes to myself. I have just come in from a two day’s run, and must catch up on some beauty sleep as I have had very little last night. You seem to be quite busy at the nursing, remember me to Margaret’s Grannie, if she is still a patient, and also give Margaret my regards whenever you see her. I have an idea Jock may be on his way home. That job at the Arcade is certainly a better paying proposition than your present one, but as you say you probably wouldn’t be released. I suppose you will have seen Albert Kerse, by the time you receive this, as he left just over two months. I have a postcard or two of Naples to send you as soon as I can get an envelope big enough to accommodate them. Well old dear I will sign off now and get some shut eye. Hoping this finds you as fit & well as it leaves me. Cheerio, love & kisses. Your loving brother. ERIC. xxx
