Evan George Evans (Born 1872, Riverton - died 1935, Fortrose, Southland) married Williamina Mary McLeod (Born 1872 Roslyn, Dunedin - died 1948 Fortrose, Southland) in 1900 and they had four surviving children - Gwendoline Alwyn Evans, Lyndsay Roy Evans, Ina Kathleen Evans and Owen Llewellyn.
Evan George Evans used money he had earned from mining in his father’s (John Evans) goldmine in Orepuki to send himself to university and later the presbyterian ministry.
He was a Presbyterian Minister at Fortrose Presbyterian Parish (1923-1933).
