Dear Dorothy, I was intending to write you a letter instead of this but I haven’t written to you since the first of the month, I will leave the letter until tomorrow. As you will see I have a new address and have more or less got settled down in Advance Base camp. We are forming a piano accordion Band and before long hope to be doing a spot of playing in and around the camp. What sort of birthday did you have old dear, I had a very dry one, couldn’t even get a bottle of wine on the right day. I heard a couple of days ago that Cecil Dixon had gone home, but do not know if it is right or not. Have you seen any sign of Jock, lately, I’ll bet he is having a royal time, remember me to him. How is the nursing going, I suppose you must have settled down after your change over. We are expecting more mail, any day now, and when it turns up I will be writing to you again. Well old dear I must sign off now and line up for tea. Cheerio and lots of love. Your loving brother. Eric xxxx
