Dear Dorothy, I have just received an air letter card from you dated 26th Jan, and am very pleased to hear from you. You seem to be doing a big line with this Eddie, it looks like the real thing to me, this time, by the way you have not told me his second name. Frances and Stuart must be having a busy time on the farm just now, I am looking forward to a stay with them and the kiddies after I have been home a while. You seem to be very busy at the hospital, these days, how is Hugh doing? Tell him I was asking for him. I suppose you are feeling quite rich now that your lambs have been sold, you certainly got a good price. So Charlie has got himself engaged, I suppose the next thing I will be hearing of will be his marriage, or I may even be home in time for it. I see that

……. Timpany has been out ……..with her daughter, give ………my regards any time you see ………Monica going away ………, she must be a jolly pretty girl now. Give my regards to Lorell next time you see her. I am going to have a day in Cairo, with Jim Lennox, tomorrow, I haven’t been in on leave, for over two weeks, so will be stepping out in my new battle frock complete with collar and tie. If I have time I think I will have my photo taken. By the way let me know if your camera is 620 and I will get a film or two for you, I can get an odd 620 or 120. I had a letter card from Maisie today, also, so will have to get cracking and answer it. I am hoping to see Barney McGearty one of these days soon, and that will mean a day out. Well old dear, I will have to close now, so cheerio until next letter. Lots of love and kisses xxxx Your loving brother. Eric
