Dear Dorothy, I received your air letter card dated 20th Feb last night, and was very pleased to hear from you, once again . I hope you manage to get to Queenstown for Easter, it is a great show for a holiday. Remember that autograph book, you sent, last time you were there, it is practically full now, but I may as well hang on to it, and bring it home with me, there is room for a few more yet. There is quite a collection of names in it, including autographs form chaps from England, America and one Indian. Ruby Cochrane would not be too keen
on having to go to hospital to have her tonsils out. How is Hugh getting on, has he had his out yet. Remember me to Bert Gutyweitz (?) next time you see him. So old Jock has been increasing the family, tell him I was asking for him, next time you see him. How is this Edmond of yours doing, you have never told me what his second name is. Next time I am in town I will get another badge for you and either send it or bring it home with me, and don’t forget to let me know the size of your camera and I will start collecting a few films. I was up at two o’clock this morning and left on a long run at three arriving back at camp at 12 o’clock for dinner, after having done

165 miles. I had a snore off after dinner and just woke up before starting this, and when I finish, will have a cup of afternoon tea. I saw Jack Fox again yesterday, he is quite excited these days and wishes to be remembered to you all. Reg Ashwell also sends his regards to everyone. If you are ever in the Brown Owl, give my regards to Jim Graham, and tell him I am in the same outfit as Alf. I suppose by now you will have heard my message over the radio, as it is about a month since I sent it. I have some more snaps from Italy, sent to me by one of my mates, so will send them on, one of these days. Well old dear, news is scarce, so will say cheerio until next letter. Lots of love. Your loving brother. Eric
