Dear Dorothy, I have just received an air letter card from you dated 11th Feb, a couple of days ago and was very pleased to hear from you. I hope that hand of yours I better now, it is a wonder they didn’t give you a few days off. Your seem to be doing a big line with Eddie, is this the right one. Don’t worry about loosing (sic) that badge, next day I am in town I will get you another one, the same as it, it is a wonder whoever pinched it didn’t take your coat as well. Dad will be O.K. now having Mr Grieve to get to work with it will be better for him in the car instead of on the motor bike. Mum said that he can’t get tyres for it. Next time you see Bert Gutzwitch, give him my regards. George Troon is over in Italy, so far I have not heard from him. Jack Fox is back over there now and is looking very well, he is very

pleased to be here. I am having a day in two with him in a few day’s time. I am hoping to see Barney any time now and won’t I stir him up, he hasn’t written to me for just over a year. I had a letter from Aunty May and one from Frances as well as one from Maisie, the same day as yours arrived, so am having a busy time catching up. Don’t forget to let me know the size of your camera as soon as possible, and I will get a film or two for you. Last night I was in Cairo, playing the accordion for a big do and what a party it was, plenty to drink and eat. It was a smoke concert style for the Cairo area football referees, and there would be plenty of sore heads about in the morning. I got the Xmas parcel you all sent, four days ago, many thanks for it. Well old dear, I will have to sign off now. Cheerio until next letter and lots of love xxxx Your loving brother. Eric
