Dear Dot, I received your welcome letter yesterday and was surprised to learn that you have joined the ranks off (sic) the po juglers (sic), make sure your patients sit on the pan the correct way otherwise there will make a gosh awfull mess of the bed. I don’t know what induced you to take on that job, but I suppose if you like it it’s alright. I have a new job in the bleeding army now, I am manager and counter jumper in the canteen, I have become a first class barman in a week. I think I better go and get me some lunch or I will miss, finish this later. I feel a bit tighter

under the belt now so I can continue with this here letter. I wrote to Tiny about a month ago and gave him a fair idea of what I have Been up to this last twelve months or so, so I will probably get a reply before Xmas if I am lucky. How are the folks at home getting on, still O.K. I hope, is Stewart in camp yet. By the way, there is a chap Cassidy from Bluff in the A.S.C. attached to us and I think he knows Tiny so next time you write to Tiny you can ask him if he knows him. Well Dot I can’t think of anything else to write about so I better close down. Hoping to hear from you soon Cheerio Your loving cousin Chas xxxxxx
