Biographical / Historical
Marie Lockie, nee Jenkinson, formerly Ludwig [1925 - 2018] was a noted nutritionist from Invercargill, New Zealand. Originally from Auckland, she trained as a secondary school teacher after completing a Home Science degree at Otago University. She taught at Southland Girls High School in the 1970s, and was a life member of the Federation of Graduate Women. As well as being passionate about nutrition, her wide ranging interests included art, music, politics, and literature.
