Overview
In this interview Margaret gives a brief history of her family, her education at North School and Southland Girls High School. Whilst Margaret’s mother was a piano teacher Margaret was taught by Marianne Halliday starting at 9 years old. She went onto be a piano teacher herself and describes her feelings towards piano playing, the examinations and qualifications. Margaret also reflects on her long involvement/career of playing the organ first at North Invercargill Presbyterian Church before moving to First Church. For two years during this time Margaret also became the conductor and organist at Holy Trinity Church.
