"FORTY YEARS OF GUIDING IN SOUTHLAND 1925-1965", by Christine L.Cummings M.B.E. [S1838 0003].

This publication of of 68 pages contains much of interest to those who may be unfamiliar with the Girl Guide Movement. It gives a comprehensive description of the Guides' activities and contribution to NZ during those years. There are few photographs but, in the four Appendices at the Back, the names of past Commissioners, Secretaries, Award Winners, Queen's Guides are given. Also the 1965 Statistics, and the location and organisation of Southland Guide Companies.
