The Programme, issued for the Girl Guides Asn. Dominion Handcraft Exhibition, held in Wellington, May 9-13, 1953, begins with a graphic representing their World Flag and an explantion of the symbols on it. Overleaf, the names of Patrons, President, Founder and other Officials are listed. They are followed by the 'Guide Promise' and 'Guide Law' plus a statement of intent - 'What We Try To Do'. Explanation and critera of exhibits are given.
The programme for the Pageant is outlines, as is the progrmme for the Formal Opening, held on the evening of May 9th, and the programme of entertainment scheduled for the following Tuesday, May 12th. The booklet concludes with a photo of the Dominion Girl Guide Training Centre and Conference House, located in Manawatu, near Marton, together with its organisation and charges.
