**SECTION 1: THE PAST DECADE 1965-1975: Pp.7-35. Highlights at National,Provincial, Division and District levels, pp.11-21, written by Mollie Macdonald. Information concerning Branches - Brownie, Guide, Ranger Guides, Lones, Extension, Camping is on pp.22-31. Training, lay members, Scout-Guide Co-operation, Guiding and the Community are described pp.2833.
Section 1 ends with the names of Office Holders, Awards and Statistics. Pp.28-33.
**Section 2: HISTORY OF THE DECADE 1975-1985, pp. 37-61. Its Foreword is on p.38. This section begins with tribute paid to past members, who are listed by name. Also to Visitors. Themes and Events are described Pp.43-45, then reports from the various groupings within the Southland Guide Movement. Finally,statistics and award winners are listed. By the end of that decade, membership numbers were 2,125.
**SECTION 3: THE HISTORY OF THE DECADE 1985-1995. Pp.63-113. BY Doreen Humphries.
P.64: Contents Page. As in the previous sections, information is well set out, easily read and contains many photos. However, as there is no Index, the entire text must be read by those seeking information on specific individuals and events. So the entire text in the relevant chapter/section, needs to be read.
There are 8 chapters in this third section of the book, all listed on a separate Contents Page at the start of this section, and covering all aspects of Guide activity in Southland. The first three chapters describe the activities of the various groups within the organisation. Ch.4 focuses on Personnel, Resignations, Tributes and Thanks. Ch.7 describes activities in the Community, Visitors and Special Events. The Final Chapter is concerned with International contacts and events.

The publication begins with Comment from Gwenda Pugh, Provincial Commissioner and A Foreword by Doreen Humphries, pp.2-3. The histories of of each the two previous publications are preceded by a title Page with Trefoil and the original Foreword. Each section ends with a list of Personnel, Guide Comapnies and Award/Medal Winners. Black and White photos are throughout the text.
*Section 3, 1985-1995 has 2 Appendices, 'A' and 'B'.
