Inside front cover: Classes offered by Southland District Country Women's Institute Co-Ordinating Committee for 1974. Also a list of classes for 1978.
The record opens with the AGM and President's report and also details the Election of Officers, Committees and other club responsibilities. From a membership of 40, 17 attended and note was taken of 'waning'interest.
Branch interests reflect changes in society: Knitting singlets for karitane Hospital noted on 31/3/1978; Protesting 'poor' radio, tv programmes and advertisements; Protest at closure of Country Maternity Hospitals. Support continues for Meals on Wheels, Collecting for Braille, Donatiing produce to Kindhaven and to Salvation Army and being Friendship Visitors in local districts. The branch also was invloved in catering and waitressing at Federated Farmers' and Grassland Conferences.
