This item is a green cloth-covered notebook, and part of the A S and M Trotter Donation. The back pages contain : 1. List of members and subscriptions for 1919 Session 2. 1921 Summary in which Gents are listed by name and Lady Members as numbering 33. 3. 1921 List of Ladies who are members and List of Financial members who are desribed as "Men".

Inside Back Cover contains a List of Club Officers for 1924 plus the names of 1932 Sunscribers (4).

This record opens with 'the continuation' of the 1919 Session, with an evening programmed that featured Essays, Letters and Humorous stories. Meetings were fortnightly and featured topics like Debates, Poetry, Prepared Speeches, Guest Speakers and Competitions.

10 May 1921 minutes contain Syllabus for the Session. 7 September Competition arrangements, entry fees and value of prizes given. At October 21 Concert 250 are said to have attended and that the afternoon copetitions for children were very popular.

1922 Concert programme is inserted after the minutes for 4 November 1921. The programme gives events and names of competitors. The competitions appear to have been organised annually and to have been a very popular feature of the Society's programme.

A Page is cut out in May 1927 minutes.

1 April 1930 minutes contain a memo giving names of Executive .

30 May 1930 - Change of Name "WEA and Literary and Debating Society".

Page cut out before Mintes of Executive Meeting, held after 1931 AGM, after which minutes revert to being of 'Literary and Debating Socy'.
