Many of the newsletters provide only a month and not a year so decerning date order could be an issue. Notices also tend to provide a breif overview of previous meetings and may also includes some informaiton on finances. Whole bundle may be issued on request.

These records detail the activities of the Southland Branch of WEL. Records include: * a leaflet explaining WEL - its aims, objectives, reason for necessity and achievements.
* News lettere Feb 1980 to 1988 with those for October 1975 and April 1979
* Names, electorates and address for all 1984 women candidates - July 1984 issue.
* Members names, addresses and telphone numbers are found in some newsletters, particularly for 1980/81, 1981/82, Oct 1982.
* Issues undertaken by WEL include: Flexible employment hours; provision of child care; Maternity Leave and Employment Protection 1980: Equal emplpyment opportunities for women; Discrimination; Sexual harrassment; Violence; Pornography: Political representation:ontraception and Health; Women overseas; Women's Conventions.
* Notices are generally undated. * 'In Search of the Family' - this paper is filed near the bottom of the pile and discusses the changing family and relationship structures. * A Photocopy of 3 news items concerning teens and sexual abuse, Equitable abortion services on West Coast of S.I. and a notice concerning Cervical cancer. * Newsletter from the National Co-ordinator The above are some of the items of interest to be found in the pile of documents.
