This period was one of decline for the organisation and significant events are as follows: 1. 23 July 1998: It is noted that some churches are not providing helpers

2. 3 August 1998: A Special Meeting called to inform Ministers of poor support from church members. Fact noted that most younger women's work commitments made it hard for them to get to meetings.

3. 27 August 1998: Finance. Attention was drawn to the fact that Costs were not being met, so decision to investigate ways of incresing membership list. 4. 18 Novemeber 1998: Future discussed. It was decided to reduce dinners to mid-winter and end of year.

5. 5/03/01: Reduced numbers meant bowls and cards cancelled on bus trip days. (Trips included one on the Taieri Gorge Train).

6. 19 February 2004: Future of NICO discussed and notice of Committee Windup sent to contributing churches decided. Windup Celebration to be a Dinner 13 May 2004.

7. 9 September 2004: Disposal of Committee Funds ($11,314.58) discussed and donations made from it to include $8,000.00 to MRI Scan Appeal; $1,000.00 to Southland Hospice; $1,000.00 to St John's (ambulance); final monies to the Blind Institute.

8. 13 November 2004: A Final Get-Together to be held at the Tea Kiosk in Queens Park.
