This item is a maroon, hard-cover lecture notebook. Minutes begin with a meeting held "at the school' on 11/2/1959. Present: Mrs Stuck snr, Mrs Grendell, Mrs Craig, Mrs Harrington, Mrs Birss, Mr Van Dennond, Mrs Henderson. Apologies were received from Mrs Blomfield, Kennedy Newcastle and Mrs Stuck. This first meeting set the format for the Otatara Flower Show; the charge for afternoon teas at 1/-; Stewards and categories decided; Judges; Raffles.

Spring Flower Show to be the Jubilee Show and the meeting for 16/9/59 lists arrangements and officials for that occasion. The report for the Jubilee Flower Show contains lists of winning exhibitors and financial statements.

Meetings were held in spring and autumn. Reports on shows are given. AGMs held in August. Show takings and expenses are given in the minutes. Committee meetings are held after the AGM, in general.

Some loose pages are inserted at various places in the record. Significant events that added to the attraction of the Flower Show were: 3/2/1966 - afternoon teas, evening entertainment, raffles, sales table, auction. 19/7/1967 - Art competition featuring work done by Otatara school children, School Choir to provide entertainment. Antique Display. 1967: Spring Show - Cake Decorating, handwork and baking competitions. 1969: Spring Show - over 100 dolls displayed. July 1970: Native Flora feature suggested by Otatara Ratepayers' Association. 1971: Autumn Show featured Arts and Crafts made by local residents 1971: Spring Show - Mother Make and Child Model sewing competition 1972: Pottery to be displayed and demonstrated. Evening Concerts: dancing, singing, recitation. 21/9/1974: Flower Show Golden Jubilee 1977: Autumn Show - Little Master Kindy, Little Master Otatara and Little Miss Otatara attracted interest. Kindergarten children gave item at evening concert. 1977: Spring Show - Talent Quest ( children to 16 years). Brownies gave an item. 15/3/1978: School and Kindergarten Committees approached re joining the Flower Show to prevent it going into recess.
