Dear Dot, I was very delighted to receive your very welcome letter the other day, I thought you had forgotten me. How is the pan industry going, not so busy just now, oh well a little spell doesn’t hurt anybody does it. I hope you enjoy your trip over to the island; but don’t drop your teeth overboard. We had a fairly quiet Xmas and New Year here, the supply of alcoholic beverage was very small so we had to stay sober. We have since started our own brewery and we will sample our wares when we get a suitable occasion to celebrate. Dad a doing off (sic). I have had a weeks holiday and I start work again tomorrow morning, there was nowhere to go but it was a sell off the cooking. Any chance of a job as cook at the hospital, you wouldn’t have so much work to do, I could always bump off a few patients if you had too many Well Dot, no more news Just now so I will close down for the meantime.
