Dear Dorothy, Well old dear I received your airgraph dated 6th of this month last night and was pleased to hear from you again. I also had one from Hugh and have answered it. You certainly were very lucky having that mirror sent to you. I suppose you and Dad still go to a few dances, I am hoping it will not be long until I am home to go to the dances with you. Last night I was asked out to a civilian’s house, and to take the piano accordion. A mate and I went and had a good night, two of the daughters called for us in camp and took us to their home and sat us down to a wonderful feed of chicken served with tomatoes, and followed by a bottle of wine. It was the best feed I have had for some time, after that I played a few tunes for them on the accordion and returned to camp very pleased with myself, it was a change from army tucker, believe me. Remember me to Dr Crawford whenever you see him. I am still busy at the swimming and have already had two today. Well old dear will say cheerio until later. Love to you & all at home. Your loving brother, Eric xxxxx
