Dear Dorothy, I received your letter of the 20th Jan at dinner time today and was very pleased to hear from you again. I also had one from Maisie and one from Aunty May who always writes quite an interesting letter. I hope she is improving in health. Yes Dot I have received two cables since you heard the news that I had been decorated, at least I think they would be the same two. Two days ago I got two bundles of Auckland Weekly’s and also a cake, which was very nice, and was made short work of. In fact we had the last of it for afternoon tea yesterday. I saw Cecil Dixon yesterday and he wished to be remembered to you all at home. A few days ago I had a letter from Ray Dell who now has a job in the base camp
