In this interview Mae talks of her training as a nurse at Riverton Hospital. She tells of the running of the hospital, the sorts of medical conditions they dealt with, where they lived and the social life of the time e.g. attending balls. Mae left nursing when she married her husband, Joe.

Overview
In this interview Jeanette tells of her nurses training and career. She became the Principal Nurse at Riverton Hospital in 1977 and remained in this position until 1997. She explains some of the initiatives she introduced which included: patients dressing during the day, visits from the local Playcentre, a cat and dog, making better use of staff resources through changes to shifts. She goes on to tell of efforts to stop the closing at various times. Jeanette had a 39 year career in nursing.

In this interview, David talks about his time as the gardener looking after the extensive grounds of the Riverton Hospital in from 1977 into the early 1990s when the hospital was sold to become a private elderly care home. In this interview Ross describes his experiences as a patient at Riverton Hospital in 1949 aged 13. As a result of his hip being out he spent 3 months in hospital for treatment and recovery. He describes the equipment used, the daily routines, meals and eventually leaving the hospital and the minor side effects on his life as a result of this condition.
