In this interview Christine describes her family life on her Grandfathers farm at Waimatua. Talks about her grandfather using draught horse, harvest time, hay making and harvesting oats. Mattie’s family lived at Hakataramea until getting a balloted farm at Beaumont around 1915. Beaumont was a thriving community until the railway closed.
