Overview This interview starts in 1916 through to the 1930s. It covers education, farming at Burnside, family history, gold mining and his father’s inheritance of the farm in 1921. Donald also recalls of farm and the farming methods of the time. He looks at local roading systems and mentions the Lake Road opening between Kingston ad Frankton on 4th April 1936. He goes onto share the introduction of electricity in 1928, as well as the Garston P.O. and Automatic Telephone exchange and churches in Garston.
